Our local surf clubs do a remarkable job.

Hats off to Bronte Surf Life Saving Club for their extraordinary tempo of rescues over the past fortnight.

As the Courier reported, off-duty surf lifesavers came to the rescue of eight people caught in a rip at Bronte Beach on the evening of Tuesday, January 29, during unpatrolled hours. It was the second such “mass rescue” at the beach outside patrolled hours in two days.

Amazing, selfless, and yet another example of why it’s so important to support our local surf clubs – they do a remarkable job protecting our community.
